Wednesday 31 July 2013

Each year at the Stampin' Up! Convention there is a commercial contest.  This year the winning entry was submitted by a group of Canadian demonstrators from Kelowna, BC (woo hoo!).  They did an amazing job.  Take a look.

Introducing Undefined!

Wednesday 24 July 2013

Have you ever searched high and low for that perfect image on a stamp but can't find just the right one?  Well, now there is a product call Undefined from Stampin' Up! that lets you carve your own stamp.

I wasn't so sure about this when it was unveiled at the Stampin' Up! Convention last week, but I have to tell you that I think I'm hooked after trying it out.  We were able to carve our own stamp at Convention. I don't consider my self artistic, but I'm pretty proud of the stamp I created.  It doesn't look like much until you actually stamp it.

I'm pretty proud of myself for my creation :)
The Undefined Kits are available now.  You can purchase the Stamp Carving Kit or a Refill.
Undefined Stamp Carving Kit - Item 133402 $25.95
Undefined Refill Kit - Item 134808 $12.95
My kit arrives this week (I couldn't wait to come home from Convention and order it) so I will post more samples.  SU! has also created a Pinterest Board so if you create stamps, you can email pictures to undefined@stampinup.com and they will pin them to the Undefined Pinterest Board.

I have lots of other pictures to share with you from Convention, just haven't had a chance to get everything unpacked and sorted out yet.  Stay tuned!

Happy Stamping!

On my way home!

Sunday 21 July 2013

I haven't been as good as posting as I had hoped, but I did manage to Tweet (can't believe I can say that) and also to get some pictures posted to Facebook.  I'm heading home from Salt Lake City today - it's been an amazing week!  It started with some great Late Night Stamper Events and finished with the 25th Anniversary Celebration for Stampin' Up!

It's always sad when it comes to an end.  There were almost 6000 demonstrators from around the world here in SLC this week. Definitely made for long lines, but more importantly made for the opportunity to meet some wonderful new people.  What a great place to get to know demonstrators standing in the line ups!  We talked and we swapped (stay tune for more pictures) all week long.

This is a group photo of the Canada Inks Up! Team that was in SLC (well, except for me as I was off swapping in one of the organized swaps I was in while these ladies stood in line).  It's a great team of ladies led by Alison Solven.  We had such fun together and I must say looked pretty amazing in our red shirts and Canadian bling!

I'm looking forward to getting home after a week here, but also can't wait for next year - Convention 2014 will be the week of July 14th.  It's already marked in my calendar! Stay tuned for some pictures of all of the goodies we got during Convention.  I posted the goodies from Day 1, but there were 2 more days! Everyone of us won a prize, including 25 lucky ladies who one the last prize of the day - ALL OF THE STAMPS IN THE NEW HOLIDAY CATALOGUE (wasn't me, but I'm happy with the prize I received).

So much fun!
Happy Stamping!

Some shares from Pre-Convention events in Salt Lake City

Wednesday 17 July 2013

I arrived in Salt Lake City on Saturday.  I'm here for the SU! Convention that starts on Thursday, but I also registered for the Late Night Stamper events that started on Sunday night.  What a great group of incredibly talented ladies.  Here are some of the projects that have been shared over the past few days.
Wetlands Stamp Set - Have I mentioned that I LOVE this stamp set?
This is one of those cards that makes you go WOW!  The picture doesn't do it justice - the fish is behind what looks like water - made by filling a zip lock bag with hair gel or hand sanitizer!  Complete with its' own fishing pole!
Adorable Christmas Angel
Beautiful Step card!
I'll post more as the events continue!  Looking so forward to meeting up with all of my stamping friends - all 5500 of them!
Happy Stamping!

Getting ready for SU! Convention

Thursday 11 July 2013

I'm off to the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City next week as well as the Late Night Stamper events.  I'm so excited!  I've been working on some of my swaps.  I thought I would share some of them with you - although not all of them.  The Canada Inks Up! team is going to be 22 strong in Salt Lake City and we do a team swap - I want that one to be a surprise.

My first swap uses the Perfect Blend Stamp Set - I love this set! I also used the Background Builders set to give dimension to the background.
Perfect Blend Stamp Set

For my second swap I used the Lovely as a Tree set.  This card is so easy - I inked the "C" Block with Crumb Cake ink and stamped.  On top of that I used the Oak Leaf image in Early Espresso.  What could be easier!

Stay tuned for more of my swaps and pictures from Convention and the Late Night Stamper events!  It's SU!'s 25th Anniversary and it's going to be quite a party!

Don't forget to sign up for the Ronald McDonald House Stamp-a-Stack event!  Spots are limited.

Happy Stamping!

Hello Stampers,
Ronald-McDonald-House-Charities-Scholarship
On August 17th, I'm very excited (and honoured) to be participating in a Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser to be held in Burnaby.  This wonderful event is being sponsored by a number of corporations like Shopper's Drug Mart and Starbucks!
The event will be held on Saturday, August 17th from 11 am - 5 pm and your $65 fee will include:
  • Eight amazing cards created by 8 Stampin' Up! demonstrators!
  • The Tag It Stamp Set (your choice of wood or clear mount)*
  • The great feeling of helping a wonderful cause!
  • Coffee, tea, refreshments and light snacks will be served throughout the day to keep you energized and fresh to keep crafting!

*$3 from the sale of each Tag It Stamp is donated by Stampin' Up! to Ronald McDonald charity for programs at it's Houses.  All profits from this fundraiser will be used to support programs in our local Vancouver House!
So gather up your friends - there are only 100 spots available in this fundraiser and you don't want to be disappointed!
Please note that your registration isn't considered complete until your registration fee ($65) has been paid in full. Payments will not be accepted at the door. Please print your ticket(s) and bring with you to be allowed into the event.
Don't miss out!  It's going to be a fun event and it's in support of a VERY worthy cause!
